Although the resorts offer hundreds of rooms to chose from, some find that a private guest home is the ideal choice to set up temporary-residence for a vacation in Aruba. We have put together a short list of our absolute favorites, which we would like to share with our guests.

North Shore Cottage:

This beautiful fully furnished cottage is in a quiet and very peaceful neighborhood and has lots of space. Located on the opposite side of the island at Seru Pela, Noord, close to the hotels on Palm Beach, the Tierra del Sol golf course, and on the edge of a protected natural park area on the rocky shores of Aruba's windward coast. Only a short 10 minute bike ride (mountain bikes included at the house) or 5 minute drive (NOTE: RENTAL CAR WILL BE NECESSARY) from Vela Aruba. The surrounding area is beautiful for hiking, mountain biking, with a small lake and even a sheltered beach, all within walking distance. Owned by one of the manager of the Boardwalk.

The North Shore Cottage is a new property and has all the amenities you are looking for. It is fully furnished and has a fully equipped kitchen, living-room with cable TV, one master bedroom with a double bed and a bathroom. Upstairs there is a great-room with 2 more single beds, one toddler bed, plus computer with high-speed internet access and a magnificent view. Front porch, living room, kitchen, bedroom, bathroom, loft upstairs, storage shed with washing machine.

What else could you need, besides your harness that is...
Cable TV, DVD player, computer with unlimited high-speed wired access, “Skype” account to use for any calling, GSM cell-phone, I-Pod / cd-player, selection of CDs + DVDs, books, games, puzzles, toys, snorkeling equipment, beach-chairs, cooler, and mountain bikes. Linens, washing machine, maid-service 1x per week, baby/toddler/children items such as baby crib, toddler bed, high chair, booster seat, baby bathtub, stroller, car seat etc.

In addition to all this, guests will also receive all the benefits shared by our guests at the Boardwalk (a short 2-3 minute walk across the street from Vela Aruba) including use of hotel pool and facilities at Boardwalk Boutique Hotel, Use of tennis courts, gym and facilities at the Aruba Racquet Club, plus a VIP-pass for free use of beach lounge chairs at Moomba Beach Club and discount at bar. What a deal!
